Onome attended Ayoola Memorial School, a primary school in lagos, Nigeria, and then Westminster College, got an advance diploma in Air-ticketing & Reservation at the International School of Aviation and also obtained a Degree in Economics at the University of Lagos, where she meant her friend who introduce her to modeling.
In 2005, Onome began her modeling career when she did an advert for Frutta juice company. Her blast to limelight was in 2006 when she was crowned Miss Teen Nigeria beauty pageant organized by Robelo Ventures. In 2007, she was also the cynosure of all eyes in Taipei, Taiwan where she won Miss Elegant and Miss Press Princess including catwalk and photographic assignment for International brands (Rainboii water, IBS professional denim jeans, Leofoo resort and EPOCH energy technology corp). Her modeling career was further boosted in 2008 when she won the online global voting as the Miss Internet World consisting of 53 delegate all over the World. That same year, she was also crowned the winner of Miss Young International, emerging as the first black to ever win the prestigious beauty pageant since 1970.
Onome Aberare is the C.E.O of VegaVogue Company which is an Entertainment and Social Enterprise with the aim of impacting positive changes in the lives of our youth through bringing their hopes and Dreams into reality by creating the Hear Our Voice Foundation (NGO).
Onome an Ambassadress of Goodwill and true champion of service to Charities as helped different NGO and private foundation both home and Abroad. She is also heavily involved in the marketing of her country Nigeria by organizing Miss Youth Nigeria beauty pageant and Magazine to promote the culture and beauty of Nigeria.
